On the basis of undertaking all emergency diagnosis and treatment of general surgery and routine anal and abdominal wall surgery in our hospital, we have developed four major advantage professional treatment groups based on our own advantages and disciplinary characteristics.
1. Gastrointestinal Tumor Accelerated Rehabilitation Surgery Professional Group
Under the guidance of the concept of accelerated rehabilitation surgery, a surgical treatment system for gastrointestinal tumors has been developed with minimally invasive surgery and perioperative optimization management (optimized pain management, controlled infusion, reduced use of tubing, early mobilization, early feeding and water intake) as its core. On this basis, we closely follow the development trend of minimally invasive surgery and have advanced equipment such as 3D laparoscopy and 4K high-definition laparoscopy to carry out new surgical procedures for gastrointestinal tumors, including transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME), reduced orifice laparoscopic surgery, single orifice laparoscopic surgery, and laparoscopic digestive endoscopy combined surgery.
2. Comprehensive treatment group for gastrointestinal tumors
On the basis of surgical treatment, guided by the Clinical Oncology Collaborative Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti Cancer Association and the Clinical Oncology Guidelines released by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network of the United States, and implementing the concept of full process management and follow-up of malignant tumor patients, a comprehensive treatment professional system has been established, mainly based on adjuvant chemotherapy, combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy, conversion therapy, palliative chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy, covering all first-line and second-line regimens. On the basis of perioperative treatment, we manage and follow up chemotherapy cases throughout the entire process, and have rich experience in drug use and compatibility, treatment of adverse reactions related to chemotherapy/targeted therapy drugs and diagnosis and treatment methods, and rescue. The nursing team provides high-quality nursing services for tumor patients in terms of nutritional therapy, wound healing promotion, stoma care, and intravenous therapy.
3. Weight Loss Metabolic Surgery Professional Group
We are the first to carry out weight loss metabolic surgery in Shenzhen. Currently, we are the center with a large number of cases, complete mainstream surgical procedures, rich experience in perioperative management and multidisciplinary comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. We also carry out full process management, postoperative follow-up and dietary guidance for obese patients, as well as popularization of knowledge about weight loss metabolic surgery. We have a solid foundation in basic research and clinical trials of diagnosis, surgery and drugs.
4. Gastrointestinal Surgery Daytime Diagnosis and Treatment Ward
The "Daytime Diagnosis and Treatment Ward" will be launched in March 2022, providing endoscopic surgical treatment and daytime diagnosis and treatment services for patients with gastrointestinal polyps, mild anorectal diseases, and mild hernias; The "daytime diagnosis and treatment ward" has become a development advantage in recent years due to the simplification of hospitalization procedures and the reduction of hospitalization time. The use of the "day diagnosis and treatment ward" for gastrointestinal surgery not only reduces the waiting time for patients to be admitted to the hospital and for surgical examinations, simplifies the hospitalization process, shortens hospitalization time, and reduces hospitalization costs.
Relying on the Shenzhen Medical and Health "Three Project", Professor Ji Jiafu's team at Peking University Cancer Hospital regularly opens expert clinics, conducts multidisciplinary discussions on complex and difficult cases, and regularly carries out high difficulty surgeries.
Guided by the principle of 'leading the stomach and treating the intestines for a long time', gastrointestinal surgery will continuously improve its diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. Through conducting and undertaking high-quality clinical trials, medical research and research collaboration will contribute to the innovation and development of China's medical and health industry, aiming to 'eliminate human suffering and promote perfect health'!
